Did you know....

1. About the human microbiome

Human beings are made up of trillions of human cells and trillions of microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi etc)

The microorganisms that live on and in us are called the human microbiome.

2. About vaginal birth

Scientists have discovered that during vaginal birth, the baby acquires lots of beneficial microorganisms to help seed the infant gut microbiome.

3. About breastfeeding

These beneficial microorganisms in the baby's gut are fed by the special sugars in breast milk.

4. About infant immune system training

This ensures the right beneficial microrganisms are present in the infant gut to optimally train the infant immune system.

= Vaginal birth + breastfeeding

➡️ "Seed and feed"

➡️ This helps protect a baby's long-term health

But there's so much more to learn!

That's why we have created our courses!

"If we miss the window at birth then the immune system never matures correctly. If you upset this process in early life then we may have consequences later and that can lead to production of disease later in life."

- Prof. Rodney Dietert, Professor Emeritus of Immunotoxicology, Cornell University

Dr Dietert is one of the professors featured in our MICROBIOME COURSES

What do you need to know?

➡️ What's needed for the development of a baby's microbiome

➡️ How to ensure optimal training of the infant immune system.

➡️ What you YOU can do...

✅ To prepare the parent's microbiome during pregnancy

✅ To support the baby's microbiome with vaginal birth & C-section

✅ To support the baby's microbiome with all infant feeding choices

➡️ WHAT YOU CAN DO to help protect a child's long-term health.

"I learned so much about the infant microbiome and the impact of HMOs on the infants overall health from Microbiome Courses.
It is a fascinating and complex subject, and the course presented the material in a clear and engaging way.
The videos were very professionally done. I have already recommended the course to several colleagues!"
Kristina Chamberlain, CNM, ARNP, IBCLC
Clinical Director and Lead Faculty
UC San Diego Extension Lactation Program

“I'm overwhelmed with gratitude for Toni's free courses.

The passion is palpable and the science makes sense.

My background is hospital-based, and this research is not taught. My private practice is enriched having discovered the Microbiome courses. Plus, the presentations are fun and captivating! They stick with you! I never pass them up!”

Kristan Zylka, BSN, RNC-OB, IBCLC

Oh Eve Motherhood

Lactation Education and Consulting

“Wow. I learned so many more amazing things about breastmilk.

The best thing about the course is that it is easy to follow, and has so many experts featured.

There is just enough reiteration of previous modules to reinforce the learning.

The course gave me a deeper understanding about why each mother's breastmilk is the food designed for her baby, and a reminder that formula will never compare no matter what they add to it.”
